Llafranc

Welcome to Llafranc, a small paradise located in the heart of the Costa Brava, in the beautiful region of Gerona, in Baix Empordà. Together with its charming neighbors Calella de Palafrugell and Tamariu, Llafranc forms an emblematic coastal trio within the municipality of Palafrugell, offering visitors unforgettable historical and tourist destinations that preserve their natural charm and picturesque beauty intact.

Llafranc, a town with legendary charm, evokes the very essence of the Costa Brava. A small cove embraced by towering cliffs, white houses perched on the hills and a picturesque marina. Formerly a humble fishing village, Llafranc is today the embodiment of chic and elegance of the Costa Brava.

This coastal jewel has welcomed celebrities from the world of cinema and artists throughout the 20th century, including Salvador Dalí himself, giving Llafranc an aura of prestige and luxury in the north of Catalonia.

One of the essentials of Llafranc is the majestic San Sebastián lighthouse. Listed as cultural heritage, this imposing lighthouse is one of the most prominent in Catalonia, with an impressive range of 32 nautical miles (approximately 59 kilometers). Located 150 meters above the cliffs, it has guided sailors since 1857 and offers stunning views of the Catalan coast.

For diving lovers, Llafranc is full of underwater treasures to discover with the Triton Diving club. Diving sites such as the Ullastres, the Furio d'Aigua Xelida, the Boreas and the Formigues are among the most captivating on the entire Costa Brava.

Visitors will also be able to explore archaeological remains dating back to Roman times, as well as the impressive monumental complex of San Sebastián, located on the top of a mountain and surrounded by cliffs that offer stunning views. In Llafranc, every corner holds a fascinating history and impressive landscapes that will not fail to captivate travelers in search of authenticity and natural beauty.
