Playa de Aro

Platja d'Aro is a lively coastal town on the Catalan Costa Brava, known for its magnificent beaches and impressive landscapes, which make it an ideal destination to enjoy with friends or family.

Platja Gran beach is the heart of this destination. With its golden sands and crystal clear waters, it is ideal for relaxing, swimming and practicing sports activities. Located a few meters from the city center, it is full of numerous bars and restaurants where you can taste local specialties while enjoying the magnificent views of the sea.

Cala Rovira is another beautiful beach nearby. Smaller and quieter than the main beach, it offers an idyllic setting in which to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Costa Brava. Its calm and transparent waters are perfect for snorkeling and exploring the seabed.

The town also has an important cultural history. Stroll through the historic center of Castell d'Aro and immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere. All the buildings from the 16th to the 18th centuries have been carefully preserved, and everything has remained almost intact over the years. In this neighborhood you will also find Benedormiens Castle, which dates back to 1041 and played a defensive role for the region.

The old town of Platja d'Aro offers a charming contrast to the more modern parts of the city. Its narrow streets and historic buildings tell the story of the region and offer a picturesque setting for strolling and discovering local craft shops and art galleries.

For hiking lovers, the Camí de Ronda is a path that runs along the entire coast of the Costa Brava. It links Platja d'Aro with other towns and coves, and is one of the best ways to discover the region. The route offers panoramic views of the sea and passes through varied landscapes, from steep cliffs to pine forests.
